Marvair™ has captured more than 65% of North American Telecommunication air condition markets. Marvair™ air conditioners are designed and built for the various markets we serve.
The ModPac™ air and the new XcelPac™ air conditioners are used primarily in the commercial modular & classroom markets.
ComPac® air conditioners are used to cool telecommunication shelters.
The ECU60 is a field replacement for 3 ton airconditioners. It provides 50% more cooling yet has identical supply and return air openings.
The GreenPac™ & GreenPac HGR™ air conditioners feature the Marvair GreenWheel® ERV energy recovery ventilator and are used in relocatable and permanent classrooms to meet ASHRAE ventilation requirements & control humidity levels.

ModPac™
The ModPac II is a cost-effective air conditioner used primarily for modular and relocatable
buildings. The unit is built in cooling capacities or 1, 3-1/2, 4 and 5 ton (See ModPac 3 for units with cooling
capacities of 2, 2-1/2 and 3 tons). Factory installed electric strip heat and disconnect are standard on most models.
Accessories include supply and return grilles and thermostats. The sloped top and built-in mounting flanges,
both Marvair firsts, simplify installation. All ModPac II units are listed by ETL and tested to the Air Conditioning
and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) Efficiency Standard 210.
Standard Features:
- Ease of Installation
- Attractive and Build for Long Term Operation
- Quiet
- Ease of Service
- Ventilation Options

ComPac® I & ComPac® II
The ComPac® I and ComPac® II air conditioners are used more than any other air conditioners to
cool electronic and telecommunication equipment shelters throughout the world. Both units have
the necessary controls and safeties for operation in cool or cold weather. The primary difference
in the two units is that the ComPac® II has a factory installed economizer. The economizer cycle
uses outside air, when cool and dry, to cool the telecommunications equipment. The economizer
cycle can reduce run time on the compressor by up to 75% thereby extending compressor life,
reducing downtime, and energy costs.
The ComPac® I and ComPac® II are built in cooling capacities of 1, 1-1/2, 2, 2-1/2, 3, 3-1/2, 4,
5 and 6 tons. Units are built for operation on a variety of electrical supplies - 208/230v, 380v,
and 460v and for either 50Hz or 60Hz. Units are listed by Underwriters Laboratories (U.L.) and
rated according to the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute Efficiency Standard 210.
Standard Features:
Designed for Operation in Low Ambient Conditions
High Efficiency
Built-in Reliability
Remote Alarm Capability
Ease of Installation
Rugged Construction
Ease of Service

CommStat 3™ Lead/Lag Controller
The CommStat 3 controller is a solid state control package designed to operate a fully or redundant
air conditioning system. It is factory programmed with industry standard set points to facilitate
installation. If desired, each of the set points can be quickly and easily changed in the field by
the installer. The lead/lag controller insures equal run time on each air conditioner and allows the
lag unit to assist upon demand.
The CommStat 3 controller can be used with Marvair's ComPac® I, ComPac® II, ComPac® 3 or
ComPac® 4 air conditioners or our environmental control units. The CommStat 3 is housed in
an aqua blue, corrosion resistant, polycarbonate enclosure.
Standard Features:
- Thermostats
- Differential
- Ease of Installation
- Ease of Operation
- Alarm Relays

External Low Noise Blower (ELNB)
The External Low Noise Blower (ELNB) Kit consists of a field installed condenser hood, controls and
compressor blanket that can reduce the sound levels of Marvair ComPac® I and ComPac® II air
conditioners up to 6 dbA. The ELNB Kit is built in two (2) sizes for use on Marvair air conditioners
with cooling capacities of 2 1/2 to 5 tons.
The kit consists of:
- G60 galvanized steel hood that attaches at the front of the unit over the condenser coil.
- It is painted in high quality polyester color finish to match the Marvair beige.
- Inside the hood are slow speed, large diameter blowers and motors which sense refrigerant pressure and slow down the sound of air movement.
- The interior of the hood is lined with accoustical insulation to further reduce sound levels.
- The compressor jacket dampens the sound of the compressor. It is compressor specific and must be ordered separately.

Lead/Lag Controller (LL357D2)
The Marvair LL357D2 lead/lag controller is a complete control package designed to operate a fully or partially redundant air conditioning system.
It consists of a two-stage heat and cool digital thermostat and a solid state timer. The LL357D2
insures equal run time on both air conditioners while allowing the lag unit to assist upon demand.
Standard Features:
- Solid state timer with 3.5 or 7 day changeover
- Push button for manual changeover
- LED indicates power on and identifies lead unit
- Timing logic retention for up to one hour on power loss

ECU60 5 Ton Environmental Control Unit
The ECU60 is an environmental control unit designed as a field replacement for the Marvair AVP36,
3 ton air conditioner and other brands of 3 ton wall mount units. The ECU60 provides 53,000 BTUH
or 50% more cooling than the AVP36, yet has identical supply and return air openings.
Standard Features:
- Designed for Operation in Low Ambient Conditions
- High Efficiency
- Built-in Reliability
- Remote Alarm Capability
- Ease of Installation

xcelpac™
The XcelPac™ air conditioner was designed primarily for cooling and heating modular and relocatable
structures. It is currently built in cooling capacities of 2, 2-1/2 and 3 tons with electric heat available
on all models. An adjustable damper that can allow entry of up to 15% fresh air is standard. An optional
field installed kit allows up to 30% fresh air.
The XcelPac™ air conditioner features a number of innovations. Foremost, is the use of a single motor to
operate both the evaporator blower and the condenser fan. This design saves money, reduces the height
of a 3 ton by over 20 inches, eliminates a potential service requirement and improves the efficiency by
six percent. For ease of service, access to the compressor and the electric heat is from the front.
Standard Features:
- The service disconnect must be pulled before the cover to the electrical panel can be removed.
- The electric heater is between the supply air outlet and the indoor coil and is remote from the
supply air opening.
- Three snap disc heater safety switches minimize chance of overheating - two on line voltage
and one on the control voltage.
- Shorter height allows higher wall location, reducing possibility of injury from hitting the bottom
of the unit.
